SNAP UPDATE ALERT

Recent federal changes to SNAP (food assistance) may impact your benefits. Here’s what you need to know:

🔹 New Work Requirements: Most adults must work at least 20 hours/week or join an approved program to keep benefits beyond 3 months in a 36-month period

🔹 Who’s Exempt: Seniors (65+), individuals with disabilities, pregnant individuals, and caregivers of children under 14

🔹 Utility Changes: Many households will now need to show actual utility bills to determine benefits (some exceptions apply for elderly/disabled households)
